Uniquely served in the heritage Strangers’ Restaurant, high tea at Queensland Parliament House is one of Brisbane’s best kept secrets.
Experience the pleasure of taking a traditional high tea in the elegant dining room, accompanied by live classic music. The Strangers’ Restaurant at Queensland Parliament House has its own rich history.
Initially, only for male members of Parliament, it was opened to the public in 2006 and has since become one of the most beloved dining establishments in the state.
It was built in 1865 along with the rest of the Parliament House and still features its classic Renaissance Revival design. This allows you to step back in time while embracing the cherished tradition of high tea.
In addition to our high tea, we can take the opportunity to tour the Parliament House and see the state legislature in action.
