North Stradbroke Island is the closest place to Brisbane where you can enjoy land-based whale watching.
Whales can be seen anytime between late May and early November each year. Humpback whales feed only in summer, in the polar waters of Antarctica, and migrate to tropical or subtropical waters of Fiji and Australia to breed and give birth in the winter.
Join us to today for time on North Stradbroke Island we depart from Cleveland to the island which is renowned for its natural beauty and there is a diversity of beautiful spots, pristine Beaches, and National Parks.
We arrive at Dunwich before starting our visit to the various spots on the island. Myora Springs, have been a source of fresh water for thousands of years and still have an abundance of wildlife in the surrounding forest.
North Gorge walk is located at the northwestern end of Point Lookout and is the best vantage point on the island to watch the whales and marine life pass right before your eyes.
