Day 1. Wednesday 03. June - Longreach, B & D

We travel from Toowoomba to Brisbane Airport and check in as a group for our Qantas flight to Longreach. On arrival, Outback Pioneers will transfer us to our heritage accommodation, where we’ll receive a VIP gift and welcome pack. In the early evening, our host will greet us with a cuppa and a home-baked biscuit, followed by a Country Classic Dinner (roast and dessert) at the accommodation.

Day 2. Thursday 04. June – Longreach, B, L & D

After Breakfast, we climb aboard for the Cobb & Co Stagecoach Experience, featuring a ride along the old Longreach–Windorah mail route, home-baked scones and tea, and a classic Australian movie. Enjoy a billy-can lunch before browsing for gifts and souvenirs at The Station Store.

Your billy-can lunch includes a hearty bush sandwich, home-baked biscuit, a brewed soft drink and a piece of fresh fruit. It’s an authentic taste of our pioneering past.

At 4:30 pm, transfer to the Thomson River for Starlight’s Cruise Experience, followed by a hearty stockman’s campfire dinner with bush poetry and the Starlight’s Spectacular Sound & Light Picture Show

Day 3. Friday 05. June - Longreach, B, L & D

We’ll collect you for the Nogo Station Experience, where your Kinnon host will guide you through station life—the merino story in the woolsheds, Captain Starlight’s stockyards, and a station safari on the open-top double-decker bus to spot outback wildlife.

Enjoy a Saddlebag lunch and billy tea by the gidgee campfire. At midday, transfer to the Qantas Founders Museum to explore the early history of flight and take an Air Park tour. After some time torelax at your accommodation, meet at The Welcome Home Restaurant for your Stonegrill® Dining Experience.

Day 4. Saturday 06. June - Longreach to Winton, B, L & D

We depart early this morning, with breakfast enjoyed in your room. Marvel at the ancient outback landscape as you travel to Winton for your Discovery Day Tour.

Highlights include the award-winning Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum with Dinosaur Canyon and the iconic Waltzing Matilda Centre. Enjoy lunch at the historic North Gregory Hotel before an afternoon of sightseeing. Return to Longreach for a hearty Country Fare dinner at The Welcome Home restaurant.

Day 5. Sunday 07. June - Longreach, B & D

Enjoy a leisurely start with a gourmet continental breakfast in your room. At 9:15 am, a transfer to the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame to explore its five galleries and discover the stories of Australia’s explorers, stock workers, pastoralists, and Aboriginal people. Exhibits feature a mix of audiovisual presentations and open displays.

Lunch is available at the museum café (own cost). Spend a relaxed afternoon before gathering for our final dinner in town.

Day 6. Monday 08. June - Longreach, B, L & D

After breakfast, we make our way to the Longreach Railway Station to board the Spirit of the Outback. Sit back and relax as the train winds its way through the heart of Queensland, passing the historic towns of Barcaldine, Emerald, Blackwater, and Rockhampton, showcasing the stunning Outback and regional landscapes along the way.

Enjoy the comfort of your carriage, take in the scenic views, and reflect on your unforgettable Outback adventure as you journey toward Brisbane. Meals are included on board, allowing you to enjoy a leisurely travel experience.

Day 7. Tuesday 09. June - Brisbane - Toowoomba, B

After breakfast, we begin the final leg of our journey on the last of our iconic rail tours.

Travel south through the stunning scenery of Southern Queensland before arriving in Brisbane mid-morning and continuing to Toowoomba.

Your Ultimate Outback Adventure concludes with your arrival in Toowoomba.
